Dr. Alene Falomo is the clinic director of the Integrative and Naturopathic Health Clinic of Mississauga and has been in private practice for over 13 years. She is a graduate of the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in Toronto, Ontario and she completed her Bachelor of Science Undergraduate Degree at York University with a major in Biology. She treats a wide variety of health conditions and offers services for every age. Dr. Falomo has special interests in women's health, pediatrics, gastrointestinal illness, skin care and more. She has an integrative approach to health through preventative medicine and individualized treatment. She is also certified in advanced injection therapies including Intravenous Therapy, and has completed the prescribing requirement. Dr. Falomo has lectured to both professionals and the general public on naturopathic medicine and healthy living and has authored several articles. She is a member of the Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors (CAND) and the Ontario Association of Naturopathic Doctors (OAND). Dr. Falomo is registered with the College of Naturopaths of Ontario (CONO) and with the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners and Acupuncturists of Ontario (CTCMPAO), Ontario's regulatory bodies for Naturopathy and Acupuncture.
Elyse completed her diploma in Massage Therapy at Georgian College in 2009, and is registered in good standing with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (CMTO). She is trained in Swedish Massage with a focus on therapeutic and deep tissue massage. Elyse has furthered her training in Manual Lymphatic Drainage, sports massage, pregnancy massage, geriatric massage, hydrotherapy, joint mobilization and trigger point therapy.
Elyse is currently enrolled at the Canadian Academy of Osteopathy in a 4 year program to obtain her Master in Practice of Osteopathic Manipulative Sciences. She strives to better help her patients and is using her learned knowledge of the human body and its connections and injuries in her practice. This knowledge has led to a better understanding and philosophy of healing and rehabilitating acute and chronic injuries and conditions. Constantly learning more about this science, Elyse strives to better serve her patients and her community so they can have the healthiest and happiest possible life journey.
In her further studies, Elyse has learned techniques such as myofascial release, post isometric relaxation and strain/counterstrain to better rehabilitate her patients after work place or sports injuries.
Elyse has clinical experience in treating many conditions such as: migraines and headaches, TMJ dysfunction, sprains/strains, low back pain, postural dysfunctions and occupational related pain and muscular tension, menstrual pain, IBS, constipation, diarrhea, bloating, chronic joint, frozen shoulder and back pain, plantar fasciitis, heal spurs and muscle spasm.
Sonya brings to our clinic a wide array of skills she obtained from her life experiences and unique work background. In addition to her prior experience as a Medical Office Administrator, Sonya has additional educational and work involvement in a variety of other sectors including hotel and catering, insurance and financial industries. Her eclectic work experiences and interpersonal skills make her an invaluable asset to our team.
Sonya's natural love of sports, in particular volleyball and soccer, and pursuing an active lifestyle has gradually led her to work towards being naturally healthy. After experiencing sports and motor vehicle related injuries, Sonya turned to natural therapies and a lifestyle change to help her continue being active. Through many ups and downs with her own health she has looked towards natural ways to heal her body from the inside out.
