Alene Falomo, BSc, ND, RAc

Naturopathic Doctor and Registered Acupuncturist

Dr. Alene Falomo is the clinic director of the Integrative and Naturopathic Health Clinic of Mississauga and has been in private practice for over 13 years. She is a graduate of the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in Toronto, Ontario and she completed her Bachelor of Science Undergraduate Degree at York University with a major in Biology. She treats a wide variety of health conditions and offers services for every age. Dr. Falomo has special interests in women's health, pediatrics, gastrointestinal illness, skin care and more. She has an integrative approach to health through preventative medicine and individualized treatment.

Acupuncture has been a part of my practice since graduating from CCNM. In 2014, I became licensed as a Registered Acupuncturist with the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners and Acupuncturists of Ontario after a new regulatory body for acupuncturists was formed.

I have successfully completed the Ontario Prescribing and Therapeutics Course and Exam to allow an expanded scope of practice that authorizes me to therapeutically prescribe thyroid medications, bio-identical hormones and higher doses of some restricted natural substances

Dr. Falomo has lectured to both professionals and the general public on naturopathic medicine and healthy living and has authored several articles. She is a member of the Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors (CAND) and the Ontario Association of Naturopathic Doctors (OAND). Dr. Falomo is registered with the College of Naturopaths of Ontario (CONO) and with the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners and Acupuncturists of Ontario (CTCMPAO), Ontario's regulatory bodies for Naturopathy and Acupuncture.

Elyse Matthews

Elyse Matthews, M.OMSc, RMT

Osteopathic Manual Practitioner, Registered Massage Therapist

Elyse has been working in the manual therapy world since 2009 after graduating from Georgian College in Massage Therapy. After many years working in clinics as a Registered Massage Therapist, Elyse chose to further her knowledge and enrolled in the Osteopathy program, in order to better help her patients and to gain a better understanding of the human body.

In 2017, Elyse graduated from the Canadian Academy of Osteopathy as a Master in Practice of Osteopathic Manipulative Sciences (M.OMSc.). She is using her combined education and years in practice to bring health and vitality to those in her community. She strives to better help her patients and is using her learned knowledge of the human body and its connections and injuries in her practice. This knowledge has led to a better understanding and philosophy of healing and rehabilitating acute and chronic injuries and conditions.

Elyse has clinical experience in treating many conditions including: migraines and headaches, TMJ dysfunction, sprains/strains, low back pain, postural dysfunctions and occupational related pain and muscular tension, menstrual pain, IBS, constipation, diarrhea, chronic joint and back pain, frozen shoulder, plantar fasciitis, heal spurs and muscle spasm.

Office Administrator

Sonya brings to our clinic a wide array of skills she obtained from her life experiences and unique work background. In addition to her prior experience as a Medical Office Administrator, Sonya has additional educational and work involvement in a variety of other sectors including hotel and catering, insurance and financial industries. Her eclectic work experiences and interpersonal skills make her an invaluable asset to our team.

Sonya's natural love of sports, in particular volleyball and soccer, and pursuing an active lifestyle has gradually led her to work towards being naturally healthy. After experiencing sports and motor vehicle related injuries, Sonya turned to natural therapies and a lifestyle change to help her continue being active. Through many ups and downs with her own health she has looked towards natural ways to heal her body from the inside out.
